10 TIPS TO SURVIVE COACHELLA 2018

Heyy loves and happy Monday!

It’s that time of the year when Cali living is in full affect, because it’s Coachella time! Coachella happens every year in Coachella Valley, CA. That’s right, the HOT desert valley. It’s supposed to be up to 95 degrees’ weekend one and 103 degrees’ weekend two. Although it’s such a fun festival it is very important to take care of yourselves while out there. Since I have gone a few times, I thought 10 tips would be beneficially to help you get through the weekend, especially if you’re a Coachella Newbie.

  1. If you’re of age, you’ll be drinking, sometimes excessively. Be sure with every beer you chug or shot your take CHASE it with water! Don’t worry you won’t get clowned for chasing your drinks your protecting yourself.
  2.   The weather change is no joke. In the morning the weather can be up in the hundreds then drop dramatically at night. Since you’ll be out late waiting for the Weeknd, Beyoncé, and Eminem to preform, you’ll need a jacket or a blanket.

  3. Dust masks and scarves will be your best friends. As I said before the weather changes at night, you can literally see all of the dust that is circling the air when you look at the lights.
  4. Stay hydrated! Drink water!
  5.  Sunblock will save your skin, yes all of my BLACK people although you won’t appear burnt, you are. Save your skin.

  6. Plan out your line up! Listen to a few artists you’ve never listened to before and fall in love with new music.
  7. Stay with your group. Coachella is huge and has so many activities and performances at the same time with LIMITED cellphone service. Make sure you practice the buddy system.
  8. Get REST! Each night rest a bit if only for a few hours. Cure that hangover sis!

  9. Take some time to heal your body. When you come home and your back to reality, take a few days off of work relax and repair yourself.
  10. HAVE FUN! Coachella is an experience, live your life like a CALIFORNIAN!

Mustard in spring: Knowing your angles

Heyy loves and Happy Monday! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend and are gearing up to make this week one for the books. I’m currently binge watching season 10 of Family Boot Camp: Reality Stars, and I have to say I’m obsessed! I watched last season, but I love this seasons cast. This week is about challenging ourselves to step outside of the box. For me I am going to try and upload a picture every day to my Instagram. Whether it’s on my feed or an insta story, I will have one up daily.

Pictures are all about angles. I’m not the thinnest or the tallest but the way I angle my body allows me to achieve that desired look. Sometimes, an easy way to achieve length in a photo is having your photographer, for me my sister or friends, back up a few feet from you and crouch down. If the photographer is too close, then it eliminates the length your body naturally creates. Below are some examples of these angles. I truly believe that everyone has their more preferred side of their face mine happens to be which every way I have my hair parted. When I am doing close-up beauty shots, I select my preferred side and lift my neck up towards the camera. That will help achieve length from a close angle. Getting the perfect picture is easy you just have to fully know your body and how to position it.

Thank you for reading and please subscribe xoxo.

Everything sounds better on Vinyl

Heyy loves and happy Sunday! I hope you had an amazing weekend. I went to Long Beach today and stumbled across this cute record shop, Fingerprints Music. They had all sorts of media, from books to records. There was a cute café next door where I had some chamomile tea. Fingerprints, was visually appealing and packed. There seemed to be a lot of regulars due to the store clerk greeting many people by name. Sometimes the best days are the ones where you’re out of the house doing nothing but enjoying the scenery. I kept it simple with my makeup today. I’ve currently be obsessing over the NARSNatural Radiant Longwear foundation. It leaves my skin radiant and flawless. To top it off, for highlight, I’m wearing the new Anastasia Beverly Hills x Amrezy highlighter. This combination has been my go-to for the past few weeks.

Thanks for reading xoxo.
